The St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation website is a little tricky, so we’re posting step-by-step instructions for web donations.

Lori’s Legacy has been furnishing private rooms at St. Joe’s for cancer patients and their families since 1996. It was in one of these rooms that my family was able to spend their final time with my mother. They have raised over a million dollars in 12 years, and continue to provide services that impact cancer patients and their caregivers directly.

Here’s how to donate. It’s easy.

Step 0.

Go to the website. This is the easy part. The address is: https://www.donations.stjoe.on.ca/

The ‘s’ at the end of https means that the page is secure — it’s safe to put in your credit card information.

Fill out your personal information.

Step 1.

Fill out your personal information. Especially the one’s with the red asterisk.

Also, you need to format your postal code with a space in the middle, and your phone number must be entered xxx–xxx–xxxx

I have no idea why, but if you don’t you’ll get an error.

Select ‘continue’.

Select 'Tribute', and be sure to select 'Lori's Legacy Fund'

Step 2.

On this page, click the circle to the left of ‘Tribute/Memorial’

Next to ‘I would like to support’, click ‘Area of Greatest Need’.

A list will open.

Select ‘Lori’s Legacy Fund’.

Pick your donation amount, or enter it yourself.

Select ‘continue’.

Step 3.

This is a Tribute gift to the ‘Memory of”

Under ‘Recipient’s Name’, type JOYCE DUNCAN

**Be sure to click the circle next to ‘eCard’.

You can address the eCards to whoever you’d like (Cam, Rob or Arleigh), but please use this email address: joyce@roki.ca

This will help us keep track of the donations.

Select ‘continue’.

Send the eCard to joyce@roki.ca

Step 4.

Enter your credit card information.

Select ‘continue’.

Step 5.

You have one more chance to review your order before it gets processed.
